The Zhytomyr Academic Regional Puppet Theater is one of Ukraine’s oldest and most respected puppet theaters, founded in 1935. Located in the heart of Zhytomyr, the theater holds a special place in the cultural life of the region, attracting young audiences as well as adult admirers of the theatrical arts.
The theater’s repertoire features classical and contemporary performances for children and families, adaptations of folk tales and literary works, as well as original plays. The creative team explores diverse forms of puppetry — from traditional rod and glove puppets to shadow theater and multimedia installations.
