The Museum of Maria Dombrovskaya is part of the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Museum. It is located in the apartment in which Maria lived 37 years from 1917 to 1954 and wrote most of her works. Maria Dombrowskaya is a Polish writer, playwright, literary critic, publicist and translator. Translations of Dombrowski published works of English, Danish, Russian literature. She is the author of many novels and short stories. The largest work of the writer is the tetralogy "Nights and Days", which includes the novels "Bohumil and Barbara", "In Eternal Alarm", "Love", "Wind in the Face." The best stories were published in the collections "People from There" and "Signs of Life". In 1995, Maria Dombrowskaya became a laureate of the State Prize of the Polish People’s Republic. The museum presents the literary and journalistic heritage of the writer, her artwork and personal relics, as well as a rich library. The Museum of Maria Dombrovskaya holds lectures for young people, literary evenings, presentations of new books, readings, meetings with artists.
