Grand Canyon of Crimea
Republic of Crimea, Bakhchisaray Raion

The Grand Canyon is a unique object of Crimean nature. This is a giant crack formed as a result of a massive fault in the mountain range several thousand years ago. Imagine: the height of the steep slopes of the canyon reaches 320 meters, and the width at the bottom sometimes narrows to 3-4 meters. A transparent stream streams along the bottom of the canyon - the Auzun-Uzen river. The trail runs along the bottom of the canyon. Among the protected forest, along the river, water has carved a great many large and small baths in its channel. The largest of them is the “bath of youth”. It is filled with clean water, the temperature of which, even on the hottest days, is only 9-11 degrees. By tradition, tourists bathe in it, because the legend says that, having bathed in it, a person regains his strength and becomes younger. On the route - a powerful source of Pania, which does not dry out in any heat, with drinking water.
