Kon Tiki Museum
Norway, Oslo

The Kon-Tiki Museum was opened in 1950 at the initiative of the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl (1914-2002). Here are collected items related to his expeditions: the Kon-Tiki raft (1947), stone sculptures from Easter Island (1955), the RA-II papyrus boat (1970), and archaeological finds from Peru and Polynesia Here you can see a copy of the Tigris - the largest reed boat in the world (length 18 meters). Its original was burned by travelers in 1978 near the city of Djibouti at the entrance to the Red Sea in protest against wars. Every morning they invite you to watch the feeding of ocean fish in the aquariums of the museum.
