Tropical Islands Water Park (the world's largest indoor water park) is located in northeast Germany, 60 kilometers from the city of Berlin, in the municipality of Krausnik-Gross-Wasserburg. The water park was opened to visitors in December 2004, it occupies the building of the former boathouse (hangar for airships) Aerium, which is 360 meters long, 210 meters wide and 107 meters high, and 9 football fields can be placed on its area. The huge pavilion, capable of receiving up to 6,000 visitors a day, houses a real tropical resort with a greenhouse, man-made lagoons with sandy beaches, pools and a village with traditional huts of Thailand, Borneo, Bali, Samoa, Kenya and the Amazon. In the water park "reigns" constant summer, the air temperature is maintained all year round at around 26 ° C. The water park zone is divided into thematic zones - on the one hand there is the Bali lagoon, on the territory of which there is a canal with a stream, a waterfall, a grotto, two underground water slides and a jacuzzi, on the other hand - the South Seas lagoon with a snow-white sandy beach, palm trees and sun loungers. In the center of the water park there is a tropical forest, in which about 50,000 exotic plants grow - palm trees, orchids, mangroves, peacocks and flamingos walk along its paths, parrots, geckos and turtles live in the thickets. Waterparks are equipped with beach volleyball courts, a mini-golf course, there is a Tropino kids club with sports equipment, a go-kart track and a rope town, for extreme sports enthusiasts - Germany’s largest water slide is 27 meters high. SPA center invites visitors to the herbal, wooden, stone saunas, salt cave, steam, Turkish and flower baths, to wellness and fitness centers. Here you can order various massages - Thai, Ayurvedic and hot stones, undergo a course of cosmetic and anti-aging procedures, soak in the hot baths. Numerous bars and restaurants of the park offer a wide range of dishes and drinks of German, Italian, American, Asian cuisines. In the evening, the water park hosts colorful shows, theatrical performances and concerts.
