Mount Saint Benedict Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located in Trinidad, in the city of Saint Augustine. The monastery was founded in 1912 by Brazilian Benedictine monks, the monastery was built on the top of a hill, at an altitude of 215 meters above sea level. Today the abbey includes a church, a monastery and a seminary, and a drug rehabilitation center has been opened at the monastery. The Abbey's Pax Guest House, built in 1916, not only hosts guests, but also provides a wide range of tourism services - here you can book a tour of the island and individual bird watching tours, rent a car or book a transfer. In 1997, a plant for the production of PAX YOGURT yoghurt was built on the territory of the monastery, the products of which are very popular not only among local residents, but also among tourists.
