Avanersuaq (Avannaa) is located in the kingdom of the Far North (Thule), the most inaccessible part of Greenland, in the northernmost region of our planet. Its discovery had a significant impact on the imagination of film travelers and amateur anthropologists of the Old World. And naturally, they wanted to see shiny ice towers, harsh landscapes and people in skins. Everything here looks so unreal, as only Shangri La or heaven on earth can look like. Even today, Avanersuak is difficult to reach - traveling there is troublesome and expensive. Adding to the mystery of the region are the rules that govern the movement of tourists - any foreigner visiting Thule Air Base needs permission from the US Air Attaché, the Danish Ministry or the Danish Embassy. <br />
