Crab's Bay at Cox's Bazaar
Bangladesh, Cox Bazar

Just half an hour by tuk-tuk from the resort part of Cox's Bazar, and you will find yourself in a unique natural corner, where at sunset, millions of red crabs crawl out onto the ebb, which makes the sand to the horizon seem blood-red in the rays of the golden sun. The dense sand of the gently sloping beach does not absorb the retreating water and the huge exposed surface of the earth turns into a mirror surface that perfectly reflects the magnificence of the sunset. Local boys will be happy to catch you a couple of bug-eyed and quick-footed crabs, and if you wish, you can hunt for them yourself.
