Recently, a new park has appeared in the heart of the Georgian capital, which immediately became a favorite vacation spot for Tbilisi residents and visitors. Park Rike was laid out in a place where, according to legend, the legendary king Vakhtang Gorgasal (volkolovy), who ruled in the 5th century, shot down a pheasant with an arrow during the hunt. The bird fell into a hot spring. The king was surprised that hot water was flowing from the earth, called the place “Tbilisi” (from the word “Tbili” - warm), and then ordered to transfer the capital of the country from ancient Mtskheta to the banks of the Kura.
The park has many attractions and entertainment. Singing fountains begin their performance every evening, romantically lit alleys attract lovers of all ages to their snares. Also in the park are the opera building, amphitheater, giant piano and much more. The famous bridge of the World originates in the park.
