Durbar Patan Square
Nepal, Lalitpur

Patan Durbar Square is located in the center of Lalitpur. This is one of the three Durbar squares in the Kathmandu Valley, each of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
One of the main attractions of the square is the Old Royal Palace, where the rulers of Lalitpur lived. Durbar Square is a miracle of ancient architecture. The area is paved with red brick, there are many temples and religious idols on it. The main temples are opposite the western side of the palace. The entrances to the temples are directed east, facing the palace. Also near the palace is a large bell. Durbar Square, as well as various temple buildings located on it, show us an excellent example of the architecture of the people of the Neva.
