Albert George Market Square
Jamaica, Falmouth

Albert George's Market Square was officially opened at the end of the 19th century, but long before that slaves were allowed to sell their surplus here. After the official opening, all local merchants, artisans and fishermen quickly chose a new point. In those days, the city even had a rule according to which it was only possible to sell fresh fish until one in the afternoon on Albert George Square.
