Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Emirates along the Jumeriah Beach Road, built in 1979 from pink sandstone. The style repeats the mosques of Cairo of the XIV-XV centuries, with elements of the reign of the Fatimid caliphs and later - the period of the Mameluk Sultans. The mosque is considered the most elegant religious building not only in Dubai, but in all the Emirates. The lining used pink sandstone, decorated with Arabic carvings. It looks especially majestic with evening lighting. The Jumeirah Mosque is the only one that non-Muslims are allowed to visit. Visits are organized on Thursdays in the morning (the number of participants is limited) by the Sheikh Mohammed Center for the Development of Understanding in the Field of Culture, which is located in the historic district of Bastakiya.
