Part of the stands of the lower tier with metal steps - they are called blitters - and literally with the click of a button, they are transformed together with the seats and pushed under the concrete steps. This is necessary to create additional space for the dance floor, to install a collapsible stage, during concerts, sports and variety shows.
On the upper tier are commentator cabins and a little lower - glazed balconies - these are VIP lodges, in the amount of 42 pcs., Capable of hosting up to 700 guests at the highest level. On stand A there are 2 government and 1 presidential boxes. Each bed has a bathroom, a relaxation room and perhaps its own banquet service.
In the center of the core is a hockey box of European standard 60 by 30m. The central arena is connected by an underpass with a speed skating stadium. The hall is intended for international competitions and the organization of the training process in 28 sports: acrobatics, badminton, basketball, boxing, handball, rhythmic and sports gymnastics, karate, futsal, trampolining, tennis and table tennis ... etc. d. The area of the ice field is 1,600 m2.
A huge octagonal media cube with 8 plasma screens is suspended in the center of the roof. This cube is the heaviest in Europe, weighs 18 tons, it was collected on ice and lifted on the ropes for 2 weeks. The height of the arena building is 35 meters. The building has 54 wardrobes, so that 15,000 spectators can leave the complex after the event within 40 minutes. The arena building has 48 bathrooms, 36 of which are male and only 12 female. World-famous stars performed on the Minsk Arena stage - Ramstein, Scorpions, Jennifer Lopez, the concert “Disco of the 80s”, Sir Elton John, Sting, Joe Cocker, Jose Carreras, Shakira, Grigory Leps, Stas Mikhailov.
In addition, on November 19-20, 2010 Minsk-Arena hosted the international Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In March 2012, an enchanting junior figure skating championship was held under the arches of the arena. In 2013, Belarus will host the European boxing championship. And in 2014, Minsk-Arena will become the main ice venue for the World Hockey Championship.
The infrastructure of the Minsk Arena includes Sports Facilities:
• Velodrom (SS Velodrom) - the first indoor building in the Republic of Belarus built for practicing all kinds of sports. The length of the cycle track is 250 m., The width is 7.5 m. There are 2 turns - to the right and left, the angle of inclination is 41 degrees. The stands can accommodate up to 2000 spectators. On January 28, 2012, the International Union of Cyclists at the executive committee in Belgium decided to hold the 2013 World Cycling Championship on the track in Minsk. On the 3rd floor - sectors B and C are located, where VIP lodges are equipped for receiving guests of the highest level, behind the glass are commentator booths.

In the center of the skating oval there are 2 training hockey boxes: the European standard measuring 60 by 30 meters, and the Canadian standard - 60 by 28. Two curling tracks are located behind two hockey boxes. In addition, unique equipment has been installed that allows you to adjust the temperature of the ice in its different areas. This is done so that athletes from different sports can train at the same time. Each sport has its own ice temperature: for figure skating from minus 3 degrees, for curling minus 4-5 degrees, for hockey minus 7-8, for speed skating to minus 12 degrees.
The hall has a climate control system, which allows during the competition to supply warm air to the stands, under each seat there is a metal mesh through which it enters.
The stands are designed for 3,000 seats and are designed to view speed skating competitions, as hockey boxes - training.
In their free time from the training and competition process, mass ice skating is carried out on an ongoing basis. Figure skating enthusiasts have a great choice: start the first steps, holding the hockey box, or professionally bend at a tremendous speed, moving along the speed skating track. There are mountain air rooms on the 3rd floor of the speed skating building.
