Iron-containing sodium chloride thermal source (course of therapeutic baths)
The first mention of the source in 1578. In 1764, it was developed for salt mining by the archbishop, Count von Seinsheim (Adins Friedrich) (1755 - 1779). Since 1868, the source has been used for healing baths. It is named after the Archbishop of Würzburg, Johann Philipp von Schönborn (reign of 1642 - 1673), who earned recognition in the development of salt mining in the Bad Kissingen region. Today, Schönborn Schrudel thermal water is held in Bad Kissingen and is used for salt baths and in the KissZalis thermal complex.
