The Royal Jewelry Museum is located in Alexandria, in the Zizenia quarter, in a palace that belonged to members of the Royal Family. The palace was built in 1919, and in 1986 was opened to visitors as a museum. Architects from France, Italy and Belgium worked on its design. This museum is considered the greatest architectural masterpiece. Its area is more than 4000 sq.m. The museum features more than 11 thousand rare and antique jewelry that once belonged to the Egyptian Royal Dynasty Muhammad Ali. The collection includes gold jewelry inlaid with diamonds, diamonds and precious stones, antique dishes, a gold money bag, ancient coins, watches. Also presented here are paintings by Princess Fatemah El Zahraa, medals and awards. Amethyst necklace and a gold container - signs of the Red Crescent Sorority deserve special attention. King Farouk's collection is famous for its abundance of diamond products. In addition, here you will see all the beauty of this building, luxuriously decorated halls, portraits of members of the Royal Dynasty, colored windows, statues. In 2010, the overhaul of the museum was completed, on which about $ 9 million was spent.
