Savannakhet or Kaysone Phomvihane is a city and province with the same name in south Laos. The name Savannakhet derives from Savanh Nakhone, which means "city of paradise". It is the most visited provincial town of southern Laos. Savannakhet is located on the crossing of ancient trading waysthats why it has always been large trading centre which connected coast of South China sea and mountain areas of Cambodia and Laos.

Sihanoukville actually is the unique beach resort of Cambodia having good prospects of development. Sihanoukville is located in 185 km to the southwest from Phnom Penh on the coast of Siam gulf.
