Tour Program
Your safari begins with a warm welcome and briefing by our friendly Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi. After pick-up from your hotel or the airport, we set off in a comfortable 4x4 jeep towards Samburu National Reserve. This scenic drive passes through the beautiful Kenyan countryside, giving you a first glimpse of the landscapes ahead. On arrival in Samburu, enjoy a relaxed afternoon game drive where you may spot the reserve’s unique wildlife, such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Accommodation: Samburu Sopa Lodge (or equivalent)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
Wake up to the sounds of the wild and head out for an early morning game drive, the best time to catch predators in action and observe wildlife before the heat of the day. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a short rest, then set out again for a mid-morning drive. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to explore more of Samburu’s rugged beauty and diverse wildlife. Expect sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, and the Samburu Special Five.

After breakfast, we depart Samburu and head towards the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. After checking in at your lodge, embark on an afternoon game drive where you can spot rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and possibly the endangered northern white rhino.

Begin your day with a final early morning game drive in Ol Pejeta, soaking in the beauty of the savannah as the wildlife awakens. Terms and Conditions
Meeting Point & Time
- Pick-up is available from any hotel or residence in Nairobi, or directly from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Wilson Airport. Our Jossec Safaris team will meet you at the agreed location for a warm welcome and safari briefing before departure. Pick-up time is usually between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, but this can be adjusted to suit your arrival schedule.
Important Notes
This safari operates year-round and is suitable for all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult.
Game drives follow park regulations to ensure the safety of both guests and wildlife.
Wi-Fi may be available at some lodges, but connectivity in the parks is limited.
All safari jeeps are well-maintained, with a pop-up roof for better wildlife viewing and photography.
The journey between destinations includes scenic drives through Kenya’s countryside and may involve some bumpy roads.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required for travelers coming from certain countries.
Gratuities for driver-guides and lodge staff are not included but are appreciated based on service quality.

Booking rules
Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit (usually 30-50% of the total package cost) is required at the time of booking to secure your safari.
Full Payment: The balance must be paid at least 10 days before the safari start date. For bookings made within 10 days, full payment is required upon confirmation.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds are subject to our cancellation policy, which varies based on the notice period given.
Changes to Bookings: Any changes to your itinerary must be communicated as soon as possible. Additional fees may apply for changes made after confirmation.
Special Requests: Any special requests (dietary needs, specific accommodations, etc.) should be communicated at the time of booking for us to make the necessary arrangements.
Payment Methods:Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other accepted methods. Please ensure that all payments are completed in a timely manner.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 60 days or more before the tour will receive a full refund, minus a 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations made 30-59 days prior to the tour will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 20 days before the tour are non-refundable.
