Then, we set off north towards the rugged and beautiful Samburu National Reserve, crossing the equator and passing through scenic highlands. Arriving by mid-afternoon, you’ll settle into the luxurious Ashnil Samburu Camp, where the sounds of nature set a perfect backdrop. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive, seeking out rare species like Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the Somali ostrich, all uniquely adapted to Samburu’s dry landscapes.

Today promises endless wildlife encounters! Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with ample time in between to relax by the pool or simply savor the serenity of your luxury camp. Samburu is a photographer's paradise with frequent sightings of elephants, lions, and leopards. Along the Ewaso Ng'iro River, you’ll find lively crocodiles and abundant birdlife, making each game drive an opportunity to spot something new and memorable.

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Nakuru, famed for its breathtaking flamingo flocks and rhino sanctuary. The scenic drive takes us through the Great Rift Valley, a geological marvel in itself. Arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park, you’ll settle into the elegant Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, offering stunning lake views. In the afternoon, explore the park, where you'll have a good chance of spotting the Big Four (lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) among other wildlife. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya's best places to see both white and black rhinos up close.

This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we head towards the Masai Mara, Kenya's premier wildlife reserve. En route, you’ll witness spectacular vistas of the rolling African landscape. Arrive at the Masai Mara in time for lunch at the luxurious Sarova Mara Safari Lodge, your home for the next three days. Later in the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in the Mara, where endless plains teem with elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the renowned Big Cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Today, enjoy a full day exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara. With both morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have the chance to witness the spectacular wildlife of the Mara, including large herds of wildebeest, particularly during the Great Migration (July to October). The Mara River is also a focal point for wildlife activity, especially for those hoping to catch a glimpse of hippos and crocodiles. Optional: For a unique perspective, consider a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Mara ($450 per person).
