Bear Stone Festival
Croatia, Slunj
04.07.2025 - 07.07.2025

Bear Stone Festival is a Croatian outdoor festival dedicated to Psychedelic/Desert/Stoner Rock genres that is held in a unique nature setting. The main idea behind the festival is to combine its stunning riverside landscape, fuzzy guitar-driven genres with psychedelic art installations and projections made by using analogue techniques.

Bear Stone Festival’s location is situated right alongside the riverbank of the river Mrežnica, which is known as one of the most pristine rivers of Croatia with its signature emerald colour. The festival is located in the Mrežnica canyon and is completely surrounded by forest which makes the festival site a true part of nature in its most fundamental and untouched form.

The festival site is a 15 minute drive from the towns Slunj and Ogulin on each side, a 45 minute drive from the famous Plitvice Lakes, an hour drive away from the capital Zagreb, and an hour and a half from the Adriatic Sea.

The first edition of the festival was held on July 01 & 02 2022 as a limited capacity, free entry promo festival titled Bear Stone Festival - Year Zero Edition. The lineup consisted of international headliners such as Mars Red Sky and Black Rainbows as well as some famous Croatian names in the genre such as She Loves Pablo and Stonebride. Year Zero did a great job to announce the festival to the general public with extremely positive feedback coming both from the visitors and the bands that were a part of it.

First official edition of the festival was held on July 07&08 2023 and it was headlined by one of the biggest names of the scene - Monster Magnet and Orange Goblin with a number of great acts from all over the world. Just under 1.500 people attended with phenomenal reviews from both the visitors, the press and from the bands themselves.

Inspired by the success of the 2023 edition of the festival, Bear Stone Festival 2024 will expand onto 4 day duration from July 04 to July 07 with the addition of a third stage which will allow us to increase the number of bands that form the lineup of the festival. All in all there will be 28 bands with High On Fire and Kadavar as the headliners with bands such as Colour Haze, 1000mods and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.
