Seoul Light DDP 2024 Autumn, a grand media art project set to illuminate downtown Seoul, will take place along the 222-meter façade of the front exterior wall of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) over 11 days, starting from August 29th. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of DDP with the theme "Future Log,” this year’s event will harmonize significant moments that link the past, present, and future.
The project will showcase the works of globally acclaimed Korean artist KIM Whanki, also known as his pen name, Su-Wha(樹話), and his 40-year artistic journey on a single screen. As we witness KIM Whanki’s passion—honed through daily diligence and the determination to create the future of his dreams—we look forward to reigniting our own passion.
Additionally, in celebration of DDP's 10th anniversary, the emerging media art label 'VERSEDAY' is sending out invitations to people around the world. VERSEDAY reflects on DDP's decade-long legacy and exhibits some of the quintessential pieces that have characterized DDP. Through the INVITATION extended to artists and audiences worldwide, we envision DDP emerging as a significant global icon.
