The Tønder Folk Festival in South West Jutland is one of Europe's largest music events, attracting exceptional international folk musicians. The festival covers a wide range of folk music from blues, bluegrass, singer-songwriters to traditional Irish, English and American folk music.

The program consists of international artists, particularly from Ireland, Scotland, Canada, USA, England and Scandinavia. Genres range from Irish and Scottish folk music to Scandinavian folk music, American, country and world music.

During the festival, the entire city is influenced by the music, and famous and lesser-known artists become part of a community with an audience in the streets and squares.
