North Macedonians encouraged to travel on newly opened segment of Ohrid‑Kičevo highway

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of North Macedonia Aleksandar Nikoloski shared a night‑time video on his Facebook account that showcases the Ohrid‑Kičevo highway. The footage confirms that a 40‑kilometre stretch of the route is now open to traffic.

In his post, Nikoloski wrote: “Enjoy this beautiful night view of the Ohrid‑Kičevo highway. Forty kilometres are already operational. I hope many Macedonian travelers will use this road to reach the ‘Balkan Jerusalem’ – Ohrid – during the Christmas period.”

The minister also praised the construction teams for their dedication and extended festive greetings: “Merry Christmas and Happy Christmas Eve to everyone.”
