Chair Airlines announces Zurich–Vlorë route

Vlorë International Airport (VIA) is set to become a key entry point for tourists traveling to Albania for leisure.

Swiss carrier Chair Airlines has confirmed that it will start operating flights between Zurich Airport (ZRH) and Vlorë Airport (VLO). The inaugural service is planned for 26 June 2026.

Following IATA’s allocation of the IATA code VLO to Vlorë Airport in April 2025, travel agencies can now issue tickets for the airport on behalf of major airlines. The airport also completed its first certification flight in May 2025.

Beyond passenger services, Vlorë International Airport will support civil aviation, aircraft maintenance and cargo operations, featuring a terminal of approximately 22 000 m².
