Key Dates for Universal Orlando Resort Volcano Bay Closure

Universal Orlando’s tropical-themed water park, Volcano Bay is prepping for some updates, and as a result, will see a five-month extended closure.


Beginning on October 26, 2026, the water park will begin a seasonal closure with a current planned reopening on or before March 24, 2027.


The closure time will be used to conduct annual maintenance on several attractions and areas

AirAsia adds Thailand domestic routes

Starting 1 October 2025, AirAsia is adding two new domestic routes: Suvarnabhumi–Chiang Rai (twice daily) and Suvarnabhumi–Nakhon Si Thammarat (daily).

Major power outage hits Spain, Portugal and parts of France

Spanish power distributor Red Eléctrica said that restoring power to large parts of the country after a massive and unprecedented outage Monday that also hit Portugal could take 6-10 hours.


The company declined to speculate on the causes of the blackout. The Portuguese National Cybersecurity Center issued a statement saying there was no sign the outage was due to a cyberattack.

Flying car project unveiled in Sharjah

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) in partnership with Dutch company PAL-V plans to launch a flying car in UAE airspace as early as 2027
