Air India to Suspend Delhi-Washington D.C. Flights

Effective Sept. 1, 2025, Air India will suspend its service between Delhi and Washington D.C.


The airline said it made the decision primarily because of fleet issues, including retrofitting 26 of its Boeing 787-8 aircraft, making them unavailable until at least the end of 2026. This, combined with the continued closure of airspace over Pakistan, led to “increased operational complexity”

Air India wings its way to Manila

Air India confirmed Wednesday the launch of direct flights between Delhi and Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, effective 1 October 2025.


With the launch of this new route, Air India will become the only carrier to operate non-stop flights between India and the Philippines, offering seamless connectivity through its Delhi hub and boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges

Buddhist tourism flights to Gaya

Air India will launch daily direct flights between Delhi and Gaya, starting 1 September 2025, using Air India’s A320 aircraft.
