On Thursday, 19 March 2026 at 17:00, the Church of St. Francis in San Marino will host the opening ceremony of a year‑long programme marking 800 years since the saint’s death (1226‑2026). The liturgical celebration will be led by His Excellency Bishop Domenico Beneventi of the Diocese of San Marino‑Montefeltro and will be attended by the Captains Regent Matteo Rossi and Lorenzo Bugli.

Starting Sunday, 11 January, the Italian channel Italia 1 will resume airing repeats of the second season of the television show Impossible Challenge.
