Turkey’s flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, has announced the restoration of scheduled flights to Sulaymaniyah in Iraq, a route that was suspended in April 2023.

The airline already operates flights to several Iraqi destinations, including Baghdad, Najaf, Erbil, Basra and Kirkuk. Adding Sulaymaniyah brings the total number of Turkish Airlines’ Iraqi destinations to six.

Emirates Airline resumed flights to Basra (Iraq) on October 17.

Flight EK945 departs Dubai at 07:55 and arrives Basra at 09:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Return flight EK946 departs Basra at 10:30 on the same days and arrives in Dubai at 13:15.

The carrier said flights to the Lebanese capital Beirut will be suspended until October 31.
