North Macedonia Reports Surge in Foreign Tourists in First Half of 2025

In June 2025, North Macedonia welcomed 126,415 tourists, with foreign visitors accounting for 79.9% of the total, according to data from the State Statistical Office. Domestic tourists made up the remaining 20.1%.


The total number of tourist nights spent in the country during the month reached 243,157, of which 73.3% were attributed to international visitors and 26.7% to local tourists.

Eurostar to increase services on London-Amsterdam route

Eurostar will increase services on its direct London-Amsterdam route to five times daily from December 2025 following increased demand.

KLM to trial new ‘100% SAF surcharge’ on two routes

KLM is starting a trial on two short-haul routes where it will introduce a higher charge to pay for the use of alternative aviation fuels.


The Dutch carrier currently applies a SAF (“sustainable” aviation fuel) surcharge, averaging around 2 per cent of the ticket price, on all bookings but is temporarily increasing this fee on routes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to London City and Hamburg

IndiGo confirms Mumbai as destination for first European routes

Indian airline IndiGo has confirmed that its first European routes will operate from Amsterdam and Manchester to Mumbai from early July.


IndiGo announced its plans in March to start flights from Amsterdam Schiphol and Manchester airports without naming which Indian airport the new services would fly to.
