Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has launched Creatoll, a global platform for content creators, into public beta testing. The initiative invites creators and industry professionals to explore the platform and provide feedback before its full commercial release.
Originally introduced as a specialized content marketplace, Creatoll is designed to connect Maldivian and international creators with tourism partners, brands, and global audiences. The platform allows users to showcase, license, and monetize content that authentically reflects experiences in the Maldives.
Over the past month, Creatoll underwent internal testing and a limited rollout with a select group of creators, enabling VMC to refine the interface based on real user input. Key improvements made during this phase include simplified content uploads, better navigation, and an enhanced user experience.
The public beta phase represents the next milestone in preparing the platform for full access. VMC encourages creators, photographers, videographers, and tourism stakeholders to actively test the platform and submit feedback to support further development.
“Creatoll is being shaped by its users,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation. “The beta phase allows us to refine the platform while giving creators early access to explore its features. We encourage participation across the industry to build a tool that truly meets the needs of content creators and users alike.”
The platform currently features curated visual content showcasing local culture, nature, and everyday life across the islands. It is intended to evolve into a central hub for destination storytelling, supporting local creators seeking international exposure and visiting creators producing Maldives-themed content.
