Kai Dieckmann Appointed as General Manager of Four Seasons Red Sea at Shura Island

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island has announced the appointment of Kai Dieckmann as General Manager for this highly anticipated property, designed to set a new standard in regenerative luxury island tourism.

Kai describes this role as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to welcome guests to a resort that redefines desert island luxury. He also looks forward to generating interest in this emerging destination along the Red Sea, which is gaining global recognition as a leader in regenerative luxury experiences.

A native of Bielefeld, Germany, Kai has built his leadership career across the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. He now takes on the challenge of opening the Shura Island resort as part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative. The tranquil property occupies the island's longest stretch of beach and features 149 guest rooms and suites, along with 31 resort residences.

Designed by the renowned sustainable architecture firm Foster + Partners, the resort sits on the most private part of the island's eastern tip, approximately a 25-minute drive from the award-winning Red Sea International Airport. Access is via a 1.2-kilometer overwater bridge. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to Shura Links, Saudi Arabia's only championship island golf course, and can explore a variety of cultural, land, and marine activities. These include diving among the world's fourth-largest coral reef, stargazing, and snorkeling to observe over 200 species of marine life native to the region.

Surrounded by the sea on three sides, the secluded resort will offer three swimming pools, including an adults-only area, six restaurants, a spa with a stone-clad hammam, a kids' and teens' activity club with a dedicated program, and a Marine Discovery Centre. These features align with the island's commitment to protecting and regenerating the nearby coral reefs.

The entire island on Saudi Arabia's western coast runs on renewable energy. Guests of the soon-to-open Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island will be among the first in the world to experience the wonders of the Red Sea in a relaxed, barefoot-luxury atmosphere, surrounded by rolling dunes and stylish accommodations inspired by ancient desert trade caravans.
