Switzerland Tourism Joins the World Travel & Tourism Council as a Destination Partner

Switzerland Tourism, the national destination marketing organization of Switzerland, has partnered with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as a Destination Partner. The organization is responsible for promoting the country as a premier travel destination for both leisure and business travelers.

Operating from its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland Tourism maintains a presence in 21 source markets through 35 offices across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East. The organization employs around 280 people.

Gloria Guevara, WTTC President & CEO, welcomed the partnership, highlighting Switzerland's reputation for alpine landscapes, cultural heritage, and year-round experiences. She expressed enthusiasm for collaborating to promote sustainable tourism growth and strengthen Switzerland's global standing as a high-quality destination.

Martin Nydegger, CEO of Switzerland Tourism, stated that joining WTTC allows the organization to engage with global tourism leaders, contribute Swiss perspectives to international dialogue, and help advance a tourism sector that is sustainable, resilient, and economically strong. He noted that as a publicly mandated but independently managed body co-financed by taxpayers and industry, Switzerland Tourism values WTTC's industry-led ecosystem for direct engagement with global business leaders.

This partnership underscores Switzerland Tourism's commitment to international collaboration and shaping a sustainable, competitive future for global tourism, while promoting Switzerland as a must-visit destination worldwide.
