Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has brought its first Superyacht Promotion Campaign to a close, having taken part in two of the most prestigious yachting exhibitions – the MYBA Charter Show and the Monaco Yacht Show.
The initiative, launched in late 2025, aimed to position the Maldives as a top‑tier destination for luxury yacht tourism, targeting high‑net‑worth individuals, yacht owners, charter brokers and other industry players.
A central element of the campaign was on‑site activation at the two yacht shows. At both events VMC presented the Maldives’ exclusive superyacht facilities, distributing customized brochures and branded materials directly to professionals and vessels, thereby boosting awareness among key decision‑makers.
Simultaneously, a robust digital rollout under the theme “Superyacht Destination Maldives” was executed, featuring a dedicated content hub, targeted social‑media outreach and direct communications with yacht captains and brokers. The combination of physical presence and digital amplification maximised international exposure.
Visit Maldives also engaged in strategic programmes such as the Superyacht Spice Route platform, reinforcing the archipelago’s relevance along major maritime corridors and increasing its visibility within elite yachting networks.
Performance metrics across digital channels, industry engagement and event participation show strong outcomes, with measurable increases in reach, inquiries and interest from stakeholders after the MYBA Charter Show and Monaco Yacht Show activations.
“Participating in globally recognised platforms such as the MYBA Charter Show and Monaco Yacht Show has been instrumental in positioning the Maldives within the international superyacht circuit,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO & MD of Visit Maldives Corporation. “These engagements allow us to directly connect with the global yachting community and strengthen our presence in this high‑value segment.”
Building on this momentum, Visit Maldives plans to broaden its presence at key international yacht exhibitions, deepen industry partnerships and launch further targeted campaigns to attract superyacht traffic, supporting the wider strategy of diversifying the tourism portfolio and drawing higher‑value visitors.
