Visa extension granted to Moldovan nationals in Israel

Visas that are set to expire between 1 April and 31 May 2026 will automatically receive a three‑month extension.

The measure was announced today by Alexandr Roitman, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Israel, citing information from MOLDPRES.

According to the Israel Population and Immigration Authority, the extension applies to all foreign holders who are present in Israel at the moment the decision is published.

The following visa types are covered:

  • B1 – work visa
  • B2 – tourist visa
  • B4 – volunteer visa
  • A1 – temporary residence visa
  • A2 – student visa (excluding agricultural trainees)
  • A3 – clergy visa
  • A4 – dependent visa
  • A5 – temporary residence visa
  • entry visas, family‑reunification permits and humanitarian permits

The extension is applied automatically, so holders do not need to visit the Israeli Ministry of Interior.

Data from the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicate that roughly 15 000 Moldovan citizens are currently residing in Israel.
