Flydubai reduces European schedule amid Middle East tensions

Flydubai has revised its April flight programme because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The carrier will temporarily suspend all services to Ljubljana for the rest of March and the whole of April, with a planned restart on 1 May, although further changes for the summer season are possible.

In addition, the airline will cut the number of flights to Belgrade to three per week, down from the daily service that had been scheduled. Last year the airline operated fourteen weekly rotations to Belgrade, and it had intended to run seventeen before the conflict escalated.

Zagreb will also see a reduction to three weekly flights, except for the week after Easter when four flights are planned. The carrier had originally aimed for seven weekly services in April; last year it operated six.

Service to Sarajevo will be limited to two weekly flights, a decrease from both the previously planned schedule and the three weekly flights operated last year.

Qatar Airways has extended its suspension of flights to Belgrade and Zagreb until mid‑June, postponing the earlier planned resumption on 1 May. The airline says that some destinations may be reinstated earlier if circumstances allow, as it continues to review its network on a weekly basis.

Unlike several of its Gulf neighbours, Qatar has not experienced attacks for more than a week and has resumed on‑site work in public and private sectors as well as schools.
