Aeroflot announced that it will increase its March schedule with extra services linking Moscow to Bangkok, Phuket, Malé and Colombo. The move responds to growing tourist demand and aims to provide alternatives for passengers whose flights with other carriers were cancelled amid the unstable situation in the Middle East.

The carrier will add twelve additional round‑trip flights, operating on wide‑body Boeing 777 aircraft. Seats on the new services are now available for booking.

Earlier in the month Aeroflot disclosed plans for thirteen more flights to Thailand and the Maldives. Combined with the latest additions, the airline will operate a total of twenty‑five extra round‑trip flights, delivering:

  • 9 875 additional seats on routes to and from Thailand;
  • 5 394 additional seats on routes to and from Malé;
  • 4 020 additional seats on routes to and from Sri Lanka.
