British Airways announced the suspension of its scheduled services to a number of cities in the Middle East for the current month, citing escalating regional tensions and instability in the airspace.
The airline indicated that flights to and from Amman (Jordan), Manama (Bahrain), Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE) and Tel Aviv (Israel) are cancelled for the remainder of March. In addition, operations to and from Abu Dhabi (UAE) will be halted until later in the year.
In a statement, the carrier said it continues to monitor the situation closely and is maintaining communication with affected passengers, offering them various alternatives.
