The iconic Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, celebrated for its suspended rice‑bowl architecture, is launching a sustainability‑focused refurbishment. In partnership with Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the resort will refresh seven suite types – five Premier Duplex Suites and two Family Premier Suites – with a design that blends modern comfort and Balinese craftsmanship.

New guest rooms feature natural textiles inspired by Ubud’s rice paddies, rich teak wood, and smart‑home technology such as Lutron lighting controls. Energy‑efficient LED lighting and air‑conditioning units using low‑impact refrigerants reduce the property’s environmental footprint.

The dining venues also receive an upgrade. Ayung Terrace will add grey river‑view sofas, wooden chairs and marble‑topped tables, while Jati Bar will introduce sofas and chairs in natural green and grey tones, enhancing the jungle‑valley ambience.

“Four Seasons Sayan is known for its cutting‑edge design,” says Tim Churchmack, Resort Manager. “This refresh respects that heritage while embracing sustainable practices and modern amenities.”

The refreshed suites and restaurant interiors are scheduled to open to guests in July 2026.
