Minor Hotels Australasia is pleased to announce the creation of a new position – Account Director – India – and the appointment of Anup Mathur to fill the role. The move underlines the growing significance of the Indian market for the group’s operations in Australasia.
Mathur brings more than 17 years of hospitality‑sales experience, having worked for leading brands such as Marriott and Accor. Until recently he served as Account Director, Global Sales at Marriott, where he was responsible for major international accounts and delivered consistent revenue growth across several regions.
Based in Bengaluru, Mathur will collaborate with Minor Hotels’ properties throughout Australia and New Zealand, seeking new business opportunities and reinforcing existing partnerships with Indian travel partners.
Daniel Csortan, Head of Commercial Minor Hotels Australasia, commented: “India is an increasingly important source market for travel to Australia and New Zealand. Establishing a dedicated Account Director for India enables us to deepen relationships, better serve our partners, and unlock further growth across the region.”
