The Moldovan diplomatic mission in Baku has issued a warning to Moldovan nationals, urging them not to travel to Iran because of escalating internal unrest and heightened security threats.
Citizens already inside Iran should inform the embassy via phone or email about their whereabouts to facilitate possible emergency evacuation.
The embassy notes that departure from Iran is possible by regular air services or overland routes through Turkey or Armenia; the border with Azerbaijan stays closed, and any evacuation through Azerbaijani territory would need prior permission from the authorities.
