From 24 December 2025 until 6 January 2026 the historic centre of the Republic of San Marino will host the 23rd edition of “The Christmas of Wonders – A Timeless Celebration”. The UNESCO‑listed Old Town will be transformed into a festive arena filled with lights, markets, performances, ice‑skating and family‑friendly attractions.
Key attractions
- Timeless Village (Campo Bruno Reffi) – a dedicated area for children offering creative workshops, a wooden carousel, a magical train, an enchanted forest and, until 25 December, a meeting with Santa Claus.
- Ice Park – an outdoor skating rink open daily from 10:30 to 19:00 (extended evenings on selected dates). Ticket prices: €10 for 60 minutes, €8 for 30 minutes, €4 for a penguin‑rental.
- Christmas markets – traditional stalls with gifts, local crafts, food and sweets located on Via Eugippo and Via Donna Felicissima.
- Special exhibitions – displays of handmade lace Christmas trees, festive ornaments and local art in the Cassa di Risparmio gallery.
- Large illuminated star – a 12‑metre light sculpture in Piazza della Libertà, complemented by projection shows on the Basilica del Santo.

- 24 Dec – “Pillibora & Elfio” (costumed elves) – 15:30 –16:15 in Piazza Titano; 17:30 –18:15 in Piazzale Domus Plebis.
- 25 Dec – Clown “Otto Panzer” – same times and venues.
- 26 Dec – “Kalù – Pappo Natale” (yellow Santa) – 15:30 –16:15 in Piazza Titano; “Little Circus Lab” for children 5‑12 years – 17:30 –18:15 at Campo Bruno Reffi.
- 27 Dec – “The Lilliputians” street‑juggling show – 15:30 –16:30 in Piazza Titano; 17:30 –18:30 in Piazzale Domus Plebis.
- 28 Dec – Marching Band “Babbi Natale” – 15:30 –16:30 (itinerant route through the historic centre); 17:15 –18:00 (itinerant route to Campo Bruno Reffi).
- 31 Dec – New‑Year’s Eve “2000 Che Stories!” – 22:00 –02:00 in Piazza Sant’Agata, with DJ Simone Dei Tos and vocalist Alice Danese.
- 3‑4 Jan – Choir “The Colours of Freedom” – 16:00 –17:15 in Piazzale Domus Plebis.
- 6 Jan – Epiphany celebration – music, street performances and a visit from the Befana (the traditional gift‑giver) at the Timeless Village.
Additional events
Special concerts, art and design exhibitions, a stamp‑and‑coin show, and a historic “White‑Blue Train” ride (electromotive AB03) are scheduled on 26 Dec, 28 Dec, 4 Jan and 6 Jan. Guided tours of the Old Town are offered each Sunday at 11:00 for €9, including a commemorative postcard.
The programme is coordinated by the San Marino Tourism Office and NexTime Eventi, under the artistic direction of Simone Ranieri. Main sponsors are #BRAND Gioielli, San Marino Outlet and Giochi del Titano.
