TAT welcomes Citilink’s new Jakarta–Bangkok daily service

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially welcomed the launch of Citilink’s Jakarta–Bangkok route, the airline’s first international connection to Thailand via Don Mueang International Airport.

The inaugural flight operated on 12 December 2025 and was sold out, demonstrating strong demand ahead of the year‑end festive travel peak.

Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and the South Pacific, Miss Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, highlighted Indonesia’s importance as a fast‑growing outbound market and emphasized that the new daily service will improve accessibility and support sustainable visitor growth across ASEAN.

Citilink will operate an Airbus A320 with 180 seats on a daily basis. Departures are scheduled for 12:30 local time from Jakarta, arriving in Bangkok at 16:10, with a return flight leaving Bangkok at 17:10 and reaching Jakarta at 20:30. The route provides roughly 5 400 seats each month.

From 1 January to 10 December 2025, Thailand recorded 735 443 arrivals from Indonesia; TAT projects the figure to reach one million in 2026, aided by the increased flight frequency.

Joint marketing initiatives are planned for 2026, including co‑branded digital campaigns, collaborations with travel agents and online‑travel platforms, as well as media and influencer familiarisation trips.

This route becomes Citilink’s fourth international destination after Singapore, Malaysia and Timor‑Leste, further strengthening regional connectivity.
