Anantara Chiang Mai Resort proudly announces the inauguration of the Dibba Yana Chitta Museum, celebrating one year since the launch of the eponymous vessel created by Thailand’s celebrated National Artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, famed for the White Temple in Chiang Rai.
The museum exhibits nine meticulously crafted scale models of the Dibba Yana Chitta and honors the collaboration between Kositpipat and master bronze‑caster Charoen Maboot from Phayao, whose partnership brought the vessel to life.
To mark the occasion, the resort introduces the Dibba Yana Chitta Collector’s Edition – a limited run of 19 hand‑finished models, offering collectors a unique piece of Thai artistic heritage.
Dibba Yana Chitta is one of three vessels in the resort’s JAO Ping River Cruise fleet. Guests can enjoy a variety of themed cruises, including a morning trip to Wat Ket Karam, an afternoon tea cruise, a sunset cruise, and the signature dinner cruise featuring live music, classical dance and fine dining.
The dinner cruise now serves a menu created by Michelin‑starred Chef Boy Piyachart Phuttawong of Saneh Jaan, Bangkok. Inspired by royal recipes from the early Rattanakosin era and infused with Chiang Mai flavours, the menu is available throughout the festive season.
The opening ceremony was attended by Chiang Mai Governor Rattaphol Naradisorn and Chalermchai Kositpipat, who shared insights into the artistic concept behind the vessel.
The museum welcomes visitors daily from 09:00 to 18:00 by reservation. For further information, reservations or to order a Collector’s Edition model, please call +66 53 253 333
