Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC launches a festive initiative that introduces the Georgetown Gingerbread House Competition, a community‑focused event that blends creativity with charitable giving. The program brings together several of the neighborhood’s renowned culinary venues to support the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, adding a spirit of generosity to the holiday season.
The competition is organized by Chris Itteilag, founding member of SERHANT. DC Capital Region, and is financially backed by SERHANT. It invites guests to experience elaborate, edible gingerbread creations crafted by local culinary talent, including Four Seasons’ own Executive Pastry Chef Jillian Fitch.
Each entry must be built entirely from edible components within a 30 × 30 × 30‑inch (76 × 76 × 76 cm) cube, drawing inspiration from architectural motifs that echo the craft of real‑estate design.
From 1 to 31 December 2025, the gingerbread houses will be displayed at participating venues. Visitors can vote for their favorite designs by scanning QR codes and donating to Toys for Tots; each dollar equals one vote and enters the donor into a prize draw. Awards will be given in three categories: Highest Fundraising, Most Joyful Design, and Best Technical Execution (the latter two selected by a local panel).
