As Bali prepares for Nyepi – the Balinese New Year and Day of Silence that falls on 19 March 2026 – Four Seasons Resorts Bali will offer guests a series of authentic cultural experiences at its two sister properties.

Nyepi is a 24‑hour period of complete quiet: the airport shuts down, lights are dimmed, and residents stay indoors for reflection and renewal. The resort will honor this tradition with a mix of celebratory and restorative programmes.

At Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, guests can take part in an exclusive on‑site Ogoh‑Ogoh parade, the only hotel in Bali to host such an event. A two‑metre tall monster, crafted from up‑cycled paper, bamboo, clay, rattan and scrap iron over six weeks, will be unveiled in the lobby and then led through the property on 18 March 2026, the day before Nyepi. The procession will conclude at Sundara, the beachfront restaurant, where the figure remains on display until the day after Nyepi.

Following the parade, the resort will provide complimentary activities such as Chakra Darshan Yoga, a Sila Giri Kesarah Temple experience, Nyepi storytelling, and hands‑on workshops (Balinese calligraphy, Canang offerings, traditional rice cakes and herbal tonics).

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan will focus on crafts and wellness. Guests can learn to weave coconut‑leaf hats (klangsah), assemble ceremonial fruit towers (gebogan), and join Visuddha Truth Chakra Yoga on the eve of Nyepi, as well as Ajna Perception Chakra Yoga and an evening meditation under the stars on Nyepi itself.

Family‑friendly activities will also be offered at both resorts, including puppet‑making, gentle yoga sessions and storytelling for children.

“Nyepi reminds us of the importance of balance,” said Randy Shimabuku, General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali. “In stillness we find perspective, and we are delighted to share this sacred celebration with our guests.”
