In June 2025, North Macedonia welcomed 126,415 tourists, with foreign visitors accounting for 79.9% of the total, according to data from the State Statistical Office. Domestic tourists made up the remaining 20.1%.
The total number of tourist nights spent in the country during the month reached 243,157, of which 73.3% were attributed to international visitors and 26.7% to local tourists.
Turkey was the leading source market, contributing 34,366 visitors in June, followed by Serbia (8,897), Germany (8,011), and the Netherlands (3,604).
From January to June 2025, the overall number of tourists increased by 13.5% compared to the same period in 2024. While domestic tourism declined by 2.5%, the number of foreign tourists rose significantly by 19.7%.
Similarly, the total number of nights spent by tourists grew by 8.5% year-on-year. Nights booked by foreign tourists increased by 13.3%, while those by domestic tourists decreased slightly by 1.1%.
