Alaska Airlines will commence a new direct service between Seattle and Rome from May 2026.
Flights on the new route will operate four times weekly using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, and will mark the US carrier's entry into Europe.
From Seattle, flights will depart at 6:00pm and arrive in the Italian capital at 1:45pm the following day. Meanwhile, flights from Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport will depart at 3:45pm and arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 6:00pm.
The airline said the new route will also improve connectivity between Europe and both the West Coast and Hawaiʻi, following its partnership with Hawaiian Airlines.
