Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the launch of a new route connecting Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Medan (KNO), Indonesia, with flights available for booking starting today. The service is set to commence on October 2, 2025, providing a new link between the UAE and Northern Sumatra, a region known for its rich culture, diverse cuisine, and historical landmarks.
New Route Expanding Etihad’s Network
This new route to Medan is part of Etihad Airways’ ongoing expansion, with the airline having already announced 14 new destinations this year, with more expected in the near future. The route will operate three times a week, utilizing the airline’s new Airbus A321LR aircraft, which is designed to offer greater fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
