Festive sales and raffles, a contemporary art biennial, an Emirati heritage exhibition, and a running marathon in Khorfakkan – the first month of spring is rich in cultural and sporting events
The largest night bazaar and one of the most popular events in the GCC during Ramadan. Held at the Sharjah Expo Centre from 6 to 30 March from 5pm to 1am daily.
Ramadan Nights is known for its deepest discounts in Sharjah, a wide selection of international and regional brands, a variety of cuisines from around the world, and a games zone with entertainment for adults and children. Entry fee: AED 5, children under 12 free.
An annual event held in shopping malls and retail stores across the emirate. Includes discounts up to 75%, sales, prize draws and various cultural and entertainment activities for adults and children.
In the elite district of Sharjah Aljada, the largest traditional tent Alsimrah was built for Ramadan, where festive meals of iftar (from 5:30 to 8:30 pm) and suhoor (from 9:30 pm to 2 am) are held every day. Everyone can try Emirati dishes and immerse themselves in the local culture. Iftar is held in a buffet format, the cost is 195 AED per person, suhoor in a la carte format (minimum order is 80 AED). There are options to rent a VIP majlis (a separate room) at a price of 3,500 AED.
The third annual Ramadan race starts in front of the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, one of the most popular landmarks on the east coast of Sharjah. The race is open to all: men over 18 years old are invited to run 8 km, women over 18 years old - 6 km, children and teenagers up to 17 years old - 3 km.
The event will take place on 15 March from 7 pm to midnight, with a total prize fund of AED 55,000.
Hosted by the Heritage Museum and College of Fine Arts and Design, University of Sharjah, it features 54 works on the theme of Emirati heritage.
One of the most significant art events in the emirate, the Biennial of Contemporary Art is traditionally held every two years.
This year, more than 200 artists from all over the world are participating in the exhibition, and expositions with 650 works can be seen at 17 different venues in Sharjah, Al Hamriya, Al Dhaida, Kalba, Al Madam and other areas of the emirate until 15 June 2025.
In addition to exhibitions, the Biennial program includes theatrical productions, film screenings, musical performances, as well as educational master classes and lectures.
