Maldivian announces long-haul expansion at WTM London

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is pleased to announce its expansion into long-haul flights at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. The airline showed a promotional video introducing its first wide-body aircraft, the Airbus A330-200, into its fleet. This expansion project, supported by the Government of Maldives, aims to boost the country's tourism industry by providing direct long-haul flights to destinations around the world.

Our participation at WTM in this year marks a new era for Maldivian. The airline's commitment to expanding its global presence will not only support the Maldives' thriving tourism sector, but will also strengthen business ties with regions around the world.

In early 2025, Maldivian will launch new routes to major cities in China, including Beijing , Shanghai and Chengdu, which will further improve connections with the Maldives.
