The International Book Fair will be held in Sharjah from 6 to 17 November 2024

More than 2,500 publishers from around the world, 400 authors, famous guests of honor and 1,300 events for visitors of different ages


43rd Annual International Book Fair in Sharjah will traditionally be held at the Expo Center. This year more than 250 guests from 63 countries will take part in it. 


This year's theme, “It starts with a book,” embodies the significant role books and storytelling play in learning and personal growth. 


Among the famous international guests at the exhibition will be: Booker Prize winner Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov, Bollywood actress and author Huma Qureshi, British writer of Afghan-Indian origin Tahir Shah (Tahir Shah), Canadian physicist and cosmologist Lawrence M Krauss, famous historian, author of the book “The Great Silk Road: A New History of the World” Peter Frankopan and others.


The guest of honor of the exhibition will be the Kingdom of Morocco, which, as part of its program, will hold events on culture, literature, art and modern technology. 


In total, 2,512 international publishers from 112 countries and 400 authors will take part in the exhibition, who will personally present their books. 


During the exhibition, 6 interactive spaces of different themes will operate, in which workshops, theatrical performances, concerts, culinary master classes, meetings with popular bloggers and other interesting activities will take place.


From November 7 to 10, the third Thriller Festival will be held as part of the International Book Fair. The event includes meetings with authors of books in the thriller and crime genres. 


The professional program will include the Publishers' Conference, the Literature and Publishing Awards and the International Librarians' Conference.
